Rhino SYNC
Rhino Sync introduces a collaborative workflow for Rhino users. The system provides real-time object lock/release, allowing users to manage access to specific objects. Users can access and sync updates as needed, ensuring shared access to project files.
This system is under active development.

Rhino SYNC
How does it work?
Rhino Sync operates over a shared network drive (not cloud-based) and doesn’t impose fixed limits on file size or number of users.
It introduces real-time object lock/release and a sync/reload system, ensuring everyone works with the latest changes.

Identifying User Objects.
To identify which parts of the model belong to each User (are being modified), click on the User Circle Icon.

Once selected, objects belonging to that User are highlighted in the corresponding colour.

A User Object refers to an element of a model that has been or is being modified by a User, and therefore can not be modified by other Users at the same time.

Rhino SYNC
Working with Rhino Blocks.
If a user is editing a Rhino Block using the Block Edit command, other users can still duplicate the block during the editing process.

Once the changes are saved, all duplicated instances will automatically update to reflect the modifications.

Rhino SYNC
Layers and Materials.
New Layers and Materials may be added by any User. These will then also update for all Users once changes are synchronized.
